I have been wanting to put more ram into my computer, but since it is a Packard Bell from 1995, I was told it was only able to take proprietary ram, which costs a small fortune, and really is not worth it. I mentioned this to Adul the other day, and he found me ram that would work at a quarter of the price everyone else wanted. He also taught me about ram, and how mine did not require proprietary ram, unlike what so many other people told me. Well I ordered it, and it came today. Guess what, I finally have made it up to 64 mbs of ram, and now that I know it works, I am going to buy more! Thanks alot Adul, your my hero now. ;)

See, he is more than just a nef people, he is useful in other ways too! :D

Wow, it's not supposed to take five minutes to open Outlook Express? This is pretty cool, now I can annoy you people at higher speeds. ;)

Ray's PB Website

Girl Frytag,

You may find the above site useful. It was superior to Packard Bell's own web site. Now that PB has gone the way of all things, Ray's site is THE place to go for PB support.

oh oh oh sur, packard bell, well for 300 bux we coulda built you a duron system from the ground up, or somthing... that'd be an idea, if we all pitched our know how, to find the parts for, and assemble and trick out the ultimate pc rig... if we could find some onE to fund it, of course we'd shoot for the best possible parts, at the lowest cost, maybe we could under cut compaq or somethinG.. .. .. ... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. :p:p:p:):p:):p:):p:):p:):p:):p:):p:):p:):p

at 64MB? nah.. :p

but seriously though... hehe.. even if we all were to try and build a computer among us.... there would be too many quarrels between which is better.. amd or intel.. what kind of mobo to use...etc. etc :p
hehe.

I think we can expect quicker responses to neffing from GF. ;)

BTW guys, her system uses SDRAM. It was a pain to find out what it needed exactly.

Aww come on, it's all I have right now guys. Next month though Koni, I just might take you up on that offer. I put more ram in here though, because it is going to my kids, and they do not deserve the hell I have been through on this slow thing. ;)

GF: I'll build you a new computer for $455. I'll even throw in a window and some purty lights in it if you'd like. :)

Heh, and what does she have to give you in return? Just be under the desk while you're assembling it? :Q
