adtrap. gimmick or the real deal?

i searched and nothing came up in this forum.
would this work to kill ad? or will the ad industry find a way around the device?
im content with adblock plus atm, but sometimes those youtube ad are annoying....

I saw this on the news this morning too. It looks like something many people are already doing by installing DD-WRT on certain compatible routers. So it's probably just a huge list of addresses used by advertisers the router blocks and needs to be continiously updated. So I'm sure it works as well as things like Adblock or adding the list to your HOSTS file.
