adsl router to router question

My new ISP has provided me with a modem/voice router (a voyager 220v) and i want to connect this in turn to a linksys router (befsr41) so i can share my internet connection between 2 computers. I've plugged them together and turned dhcp off on the linksys but I get no WAN light on the linksys.
I spoke to my ISP and they were not very clued up and told me to contact linksys. Linksys told me to contact my ISP....etc.

Any ideas?

Is the Voyager a router, or a modem, or both? If the Voyager is a router (nats) then just plug into it, or turn off DHCP and plug LAN port to LAN port between the two.
