Ads on tv. They suck and there getting worse.

All of the sudden starting a few months ago i'm seeing ads at the bottom of the sreen during a show!
I mean it's a primetime show(Smallville,The O.C.,Alias,Point Pleasant, so on) and there putting little banner ads at the bottom of the screen for 5-10 seconds. What the hell?
Is TV become more like the internet as far as ads go?
It's really annoying. I could understand if the show had no commercials, but there breaking up the show to put commercials in, then flashing these little banners 2-3 or more times during the shows! I know this is what there saying to themselves:

Guy one, "Lets put popup ads on are shows."

Guy two, "What!"

Guy one, "Users accept it on the internet. Why not on televison?"

Guy two, "Thats a great Idea! You get a raise!"

It's even on the cable stations now! I'm paying for a service with popups!?

Oh, and just so you know, these ads are not making you cable or directv cheaper. The only thing there possiably doing is giving the show a bigger buget. Which is good, but I doubt it's going to that.

YOU KNOW the networks are kepping it as profit.

Yeah, was just going to post about that. There called bugs(And Adult Swim on cartoonnetwork has the smallest i've seen.Way to go Adult Swim.)and we don't need them there, chances are if you watch tv you know what's what.

Oh,and they don't tell you anything since most are just logos.

If they started filming more shows in Widescreen, then they could put the ads in the bottom sectino not being used by the show. But if it's blocking part of the picture, then I'd say that'd pretty cheap. I'd complain to the station directly.
