Why on Earth are you using the stock browser?! That only gets updated with too little, too late, ROM updates and is only there to ensure base functionality, kinda like a safe mode VGA driver in Windows. Chrome is included on any stock Android device with the Play Store. The only reason Chrome doesn't replace the stock browser entirely is because not all Android devices are Google Play certified and, thus, some can only include the parts of Android that are open-source (standard email client versus GMAIL, standard browser vs. Chrome, standard Messaging app vs. Hangouts, etc). Because these are open source they are the ones that get customized by manufacturers for their device-specific features, but that's even more reason NOT to use them, IMO.

Use that browser to to troubleshoot Chrome or Play Store problems (download packages to fix them, for example) and NOTHING else. The ROM's built-in browser is always targeted for exploits and doesn't get regular updates to fix them. The kind of stuff that would detect it and show you those ads is exactly the kind of stuff that would exploit known vulnerabilities in that browser. STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY.

You might have already been exploited with malware installed in recovery or in the bootloader, like a toolkit that can survive a reformat on a Windows PC. I have encountered them on Windows PCs and this is the reason Samsung disabled Knox on any phone that has have a custom bootloader/recovery, so I always assumed it was similarly possible on Android.

It's also possible that your router is compromised and is injecting this into other websites.

If the pop up shows up in your os language irrespective of which browser you use then you have a bigger problem than browser ads.

Im aware it has nothing to do with browser, i have did 3 factory resets so far. One phone is running 5.0.2 and other 4.4.2. I must say the 4.4.2 rom was flashed manually by me on i9500 and had not such problem at beginning. I might flash the rom again as i dont see any other suggestions.

Pirate apps? awful pages? I think (spent 2minutes browsing just as i factory reseted it and no ads) it start showing up ads just after i login with google+. But i assure to check out backup old apps box and auto update apps and also i have 2 different accounts on both phones. AH ALMOST FORGOT - i tried to go to settings->accounts->google->check out ''ads".

Might also see if it's using some kind of http proxy.

Usually, you tap the WiFi network you're already connected to and it displays connection details like DNS server(s).

No way to scroll. The signal is poor because i was not near, but it's my network and has no problems. I will finally just flash rom.

99% of the time it's a bad app - OP are you sure you haven't downloaded (or had anything download) that's not a 100% legit app from a known company? No 3rd party store/mp3/video/etc apps?

If you're lucky, uninstalling that app solves your issue.

Unfortunately a factory restore leaves a ton of user data on the phone so it might not be clearing out some files you've already downloaded, even if you haven't downloaded any apps after the factory reset.

If you're done a factory restore, deleted any user data files you can find, and without downloading any apps this occurs, then you're only hope is probably to Odin your stock ROM again.

Why aren't such apps removed from google play ? Aren't they considered malwares ? It's just ridiculous .

Is google supposed to go through and test EVERY single app that is being put on the play store? It would be impossible. They rely on people reporting the nefarious ones.

I think Apple does exactly that and has a staff member quickly look over the source code. They occasionally miss something, but it has an obvious positive result as the iOS App Store is generally much, MUCH safer. Consumers are less hesitant to try something, and that makes the platform more attractive to developers too.

Yeah sure when your company locks the app store down and is already fairly limiting on what gets approved or not, I would expect that.

Android is more open though, and you have a much larger market share. Android makes up 82% of smartphone operating systems. Meaning you have a LOT more developers, and a LOT more apps coming every day to android than iOS.

Android has an easier barrier for entrance, but it's harder to get noticed in the sea of shit that is the playstore.

It would be very difficult for google to do what apple has done and not destroy what the playstore has become.
