Ads cause page to shift while loading

The ad box will increase in size after the page loads causing it to shift down. This is incredible annoying, I try to go back and click a link, but the page moved down by the time I click so I click the wrong link.

Apologies on radio silence for this so far. We should be addressing this issue later this week, either Wednesday or Thursday.

Adblock fixes on PCs but not on mobile. Its almost useless on mobile as I constantly keep hitting other threads or the annoying ad itself.

came in here to complain about this as well

does this add seriously need to be this big?

I'm told that it's about as "fixed" as it's going to get. A small percentage of those top banner ads (~15%) are a tad bigger than the space that was set aside for it, causing the page to resize slightly.

But on mobile devices it resizes three times sometimes and its slow and annoying as hell. Many time I click on a thread I didnt even want to click. And using a 3rd party browser is not a secure solution.

Huh, I haven't seen any "fix" since the issue was first brought up in the old forum layout. Not that I was surprised. Gotta make money, right? And it isn't like any of us pay for this place. Just don't be too surprised that some of your "seasoned" members will use "special" apps to combat these.

Bump because this issue is still annoying as hell. I would rather you set the banner to the largest possible ad height. If the ad happens to be one of the little ones, no big deal besides a bit of wasted space. At least the page won't bounce around.

Just came here to post this myself. Only just started using the forums but holy crap that's annoying.

I keep clicking the wrong stuff. No issues with the ads themselves but can you preload the space or something so when the ad does come it doesn't jump.
