Adobe's CC Photography plan-worth it?

Adobe is now offering a CC Photography plan for $9.99/mo that includes CC versions of Lightroom and Photoshop, plus mobile apps (which are already free) and some other goodies. Anyone on this plan, and if so, is it worth it to you? I have the desktop versions of LR (5.1) and PS (CS6), but I am considering moving over to the CC versions. Any experiences you all have had would be interesting for me. Thanks.

What is the CS6 you are using now not doing for you? What will CC give you that you need? $120/year to rent Adobe software seems reasonable if you use it regularly and can get some value out of it. Items in "the cloud" have a number of potential situations where the software may be unavailable. Totally depends on your needs and what you are willing to spend.

It's not so much what PS CS6 is not doing for me, but more the features that Adobe is adding only to LR CC now. Since LR 6.1 is now the only stand-alone program you can buy from them, and that I use it much more often than PS, it seems a logical way to go. My sense is sooner or later, Adobe is going to abandon the stand-alone version of LR, and the whole suite will be available only on CC. Not necessarily a bad thing, so long as one is connected when they need to be, or can easily update later when they can. Just wanted to hear from those of you who have committed to the CC route, and if you are happy with it.

The question still remains, do you *need* any of those new features? What does this product do for you that the current version you own does not?

Unless you actually need the new features, just upgrading for the sake of upgrading is a waste of money.

Were it purely a question of need, the answer is (of course), no. Did you need to upgrade to your latest phone? Likely, not. I didn't, but I sure am glad now that I did. Before LR had HDR and the other features introduced in that version, users had to go to third party application to accomplish the same task; now they don't. Again, it's not so much the feature set I'm concerned with as it is moving from stand alone software the Adobe's CC model, and all that it entails. So, again, I'm wanting to hear from anyone who has made that move and if they are glad they did. It's user experience and the information it supplies I *need* right now.

I'm on the Photography plan and have been for a few months. I've used Lightroom for years but Photoshop was always out of price range for me. No way I could justify paying hundreds of dollars for it. For $10/month though, it completely breaks that barrier of entry for me and is worth it. I spend more than that on a couple of lunches every week, it's nothing.

Thank you! This is the feedback I was looking for. I have PS CS6, and while I don't use it much, I'm glad I have it. LR, however, I use constantly, and since Adobe has (in their wisdom) seen fit to add new features only to the CC version, the earlier question posed of "do I need it" comes into play. I have let them know that I, and many, many others, resent their locking the stand alone license holders out from the product development. I hear ya about the cost, too. $120/yr is nothing, so at least Adobe must have realized how many users they alienated with the CC plan initially. BTW, to anyone who may be reading this thread, know that you get 14 days to decide whether CC is for you. After that, you are locked in for a year. Yes, you pay monthly (if you want), but it's a yearly obligation. So, it's a bit of a leap, but I think I'll take it.
