Adobe Software......can you ever upgrade academic software?

what do you mean by upgrade?
like cs to cs2? yes so long as they are BOTH academic versions.
or CS academic to CS full retail? as far as that goes i think you are SOL and have to pay full retail price

wow they mustve changed that or something. I had a copy of Illustrator 10 and upgraded it to CS both academic. that really sucks.
 
So does this mean, i can buy a student UPGRADE in a year, or i have to purchase another full student software suite. Do they even sell upgrades for students at all?

Yes! I got my first Adobe Acrobat (Full) in academic edition. That was about version 3. I have since bought standard upgrades, and am now at version 7.0.

It is not a problem.

 
Do they make suite upgrades. For instance - I want to buy the web bundle that includes all of the studio 8 (flash, dreamweaver) etc....however, I heard that cs3 will come out next year, and im sure many other programs in the suite would be. Would i be able to buy a suite upgrade at the academic rate? or will i have to go and buy the academic upgrade for what i want....

I didnt know software would be so confusing. 😕

That plan provides for direct cash flow to Adobe. But, any upgrade package will work. I just get mine at Office Depot when convenient. Never a problem.

I haven't found any yet - except for the price! But, in newer Adobe ware, there might be a difference in activation.

That might be lisleading. Aside from the fact that only my initial Acrobat was academic, it has been upgraded now 4 times, so I don't think there is any vestige left of the original academic version.

But, the short answer to the OP is "Yes."

The new Acrobat 7 is pretty touchy. Even changing HDDs requires reactivation.
