I am not a MAC person. I think the most I've ever used a MAC in my life was about 15 minutes, which was just now.

We provide a warranty claim form for our dealers. The form is in a PDF format. I cna open it and enter text just fine (on a PC and Windows XP).

We have a dealer who is trying to fill it out. She uses a MAC with OSX 10.4.9 (I think thats what she said she had).
She says she can't even click in the fields to type anything. the select tool is active, but the cursor is a "plus sign", or so she says.

We have one MAC in our marketing dept. that rarely gets used. It is OSX 10.2.8. I installed Adober Reader 7.09 (won't let me download 8). I can use the form just fine. (well, after spending about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to do anything on the MAC).

Whoever says MACS are easier/more intuitive to use than PCs is on crack. I had no idea where to begin, and I'm no novice to using computers, but thats another thread.

So any ideas on what is wrong? Is it user error or program error or what? I want to help her out but with next to zero MAC knowledge and not being able to see her screen, I am pretty much fvcked.

Is there a free web program like Web-Ex we can use so I can see her screen? I'm totally lost at this point.

I believe PDFs open in a program called "Preview" by default on Macs. Make sure they actually have Reader on their computer, and if so, that they open the file in Reader.

DUDE!! THANK YOU! That was exactly what it was!

She downloaded the install file but apparently never installed Adobe Reader. I walked her through it and everything worked after that.
