I upgraded to adobe 6.0, I was using 5. I am able to print a pdf that is on my system, but if I try to print one from a certain insurance program, I get an error that says the file is damaged and cannot be repaired. I had to hold down the control key in 5.0 to get this to print, now with 6.0 it won't print at all. I uninstalled 5.0 before installing 6.0.

In the program you find the file you want to print, click the print tab, then adobe opens and then I get the error, I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help. I got to fix this by monday morning.

I don't know if the program will support foxit reader. I access the program through IE, find the file I want to print, then open the print view. Adobe opens and crashes with the error. Guess I could try it. Thanks Schadenfroh.

Agreed, version 8 (and even 7) are much nicer than 6.

Thanks for the replies guys. I did uninstall 5 first. I haven't tried 7 or 8 cause I was thinking it would be slower than 6. I have 7 on one computer and it seems really slow. I did download foxit reader and I like it, seems faster than adobe.

Upgrade to Adobe Reader 8.

Adobe Reader 8 seems to be much faster than Adobe Reader 7. Plus it has a much nicer interface.

I deleted cookies and temporary internet files and all is well. Don't know why I didn't think about that. Thanks all for the help

I saw an issue on someone's machine where Acrobat 6 couldn't open any PDF files because their temporary internet files folder had too much in it.

I spent a good 20 minutes deleted the 12,000 items in the temp folder. (Most were 0k files created by Adobe)
