Adobe Products and HDDs

i have read that adobe products like to be installed on seperate physical hdds other than the one that the os (win xp) is on. i just bought a 80GB 8MB Cache 7200rpm WD HDD, and i also have a 30MB 2MB Cache 7200rpm Maxtor HDD. should i install the adobe stuff on the 30GB HDD since i am installing the os and all other applications on the 80GB?

thanks in advance

I believe you're thinking of the fact that PhotoShop uses a "scratch disk" as homebrewed virtual memory, and that the "scratch disk" works better if it is on another drive.

Go ahead and install to C:, then after you start the app go into its preferences to change the scratch / work / swap / temp disk (whatever they call it) to D:
