I'm Looking for an alternative to Adobe Pro Reader. Adobe is to damm bloated for my tastes, seems like every year it's more and more...

Well anyhow I'd like to know if there are any big contenders out there, ranked right up with Adobe Pro.

I'm familiar with a lot of programs. I just want to hear back from people what is considered in the PDF industry the next best thing to Adobe Pro Reader is all.

THANKS

Keep a copy of adobe reader handy.
I use foxit all the time, but there is every once in a while a pdf that doesn't render correctly in anything but adobe.

Ah, ok. I use Open Office Writer to create the few PDFs I need, and Foxit for my reader of course.

Converter? What does that do?

Converter is a free post script to pdf converter that CutePDF Writer requires. More info here.

Converter, you mean Ghostscript?

What this will convert from a pdf to a doc, or vice versa, as well as other formats?

Another one to consider is pdfFactory Pro. although it is not free.
