Adobe Premiere: Avi renders black! Help

Regardless of what codec i use... divx/xvid, the end result is a black screen with sound. What's the deal?

The first video i compiled, worked fine. Now i have two projects sitting here and I can't get them divx-ized.

I already invested in Premiere... what comporable program ought i get instead?
