Okay, Im not sure if this is the correct place to post this, so if it isnt, please point me in the correct direction.
I just got a JVC GR-DVL520U Digital camcorder for christmas, and an IEEE 1394 (firewire) card to connect it to my computer. Whenever I try to capture a clip in Premiere, i get one of several things:
1. "This Device is not available for device control"
2. "Unable to connect to the capture driver"
3. It works, but quits after a few seconds of capturing.
4. I can connect to the capture driver, but i dont have device control and when I try to control it manualy, i get nothing
I have looked on the JVC website, and on the adobe website for any help, but nothing has worked thus far.
my system specs are:
AMD Athlon XP 1600+
512 mb ram (DDR, I think)
30 gb western digital HDD
GeForce 2 ti vid card
Any help you can offer would be great!
