Adobe Flash with Vista

Certain that I go to requires me to install Adobe Flash. I click on the link and the software installed succesfully and it will restart the brownser and when I go back to the site it keeps telling me to install falsh again. This windows Vista thing is starting to get on my nerve.
Was something disabled in the browser to prevent it from installing it properly?

You wouldn't happen to be using 64-bit IE7? If so, use 32-bit IE7 for sites that need Flash. Also, if you haven't done so, run Windows Update to get compatibility/functionality updates.

No, I'm using 32bit IE. I even try to use Firefox and got the same problem.
But I'm usuing Vista 64bit home premium. I did the windows update and it tells me that it's up to date.

Try installing flash in xp sp2 compatibility mode.

Thank you. I got it to work with Firefox with your method. How do I make it work with IE7 because IE7 will install it automatically with active x. Is there a way for me to download the file first and install it on my own.

I did some searching and found the file and installed it on my own. It's now working in both browser. Is there a way that I can have it set to XP 2 compatability mode permanently on all software so I won't have to do it each time I try to install something that doesn't work.
Or it's not a good idea to do that.

I had this problem. Had to use a the flash uninstaller then reinstall. I dloaded the uninstaller the same place that the installer is!
