I get about 2+ crashes a day on my vista 64 system from errors associated with adobe flash 10a. Anyone have experience with this and know how to correct this other than disabling the plugin?

Me too, the Flash Player 10 ActiveX plug-in likes to crash and lock up IE. At the moment, I've reverted to the current model of Flash Player 9. You can get it from this page at Adobe, scroll down to Solution and you'll see the links.

At the time of this post, this version of Flash Player 9 is patched against known security vulnerabilities. As time goes by, they'll find some, it's a given :D but hopefully they'll have a stable version of FP 10 before too long.

I'd been having the same problem. But it seems since my last Adobe Flash update a few days ago, the problem stopped. I'm running Vista x32.

A week or so ago, I'd tried uninstalling and changing versions of Flash, but I was even having problems doing that. It'd start an install and then it'd bomb out. I tried living without Flash for a few minutes, but it's hard to resist those online vids.

going back to 9 prevents the crashes, but it seems 10 has been massively deployed and a lot of websites are now lacking viewable content.

I did find this link from another discussion on the same topic (albeit with a user having XP), can anybody explain what the answer is supposed to mean/do?
