Adobe dissin AMD?

This from the Adobe PhotoshopCS Readme file:
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

For Windows:
- Intel® Pentium® III or 4 processor
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 3, or Windows XP
- 192 MB of RAM (256 MB recommended)
- 280 MB of available hard-disk space
- Color monitor with 16-bit color or greater video card
- 1024 x 768 or greater monitor resolution

No AMD procs listed!

Well the people that actually buy a $500 piece of software don't know squat about computers and bought what a salesmen told them, or they programs were bought for work/educational use, and thus 99% of all machines sold for those markets are Intel.

And Intel prob pays to keep AMD out of the spec list.

People will wise up to the fact that AMD Opertons and Athlon 64's do make better platforms. Photoshop proved to work quite well compared to a P4 and a G5, infact it even surpassed it. It will be only a matter of time till AMD make that 7, a %

Im thinking he is more saying that AMD people won't buy Photoshop CS 😉.

what they mean is that any AMD cpu will do, while if you're going to use a p4 u must have a high end one to get the same performance

They do the same thing with Acrobat Pro. It's probably just because Pentium 4's are more common, and if you own an Athlon you can probably figure out the equivelency yourself. 😉
