Adobe Acrobat Speedup

awesome, it really works! i'm using the full version acrobat version 6 professional (even though it's not listed as supported) and it dropped my load time from about 6 seconds, to under 2. if you're using acrobat 6 professional, make sure to enable 'turbo' mode - i was getting error messages w/o this setting.

Wow, thanks! I have tons of clients who get impatient and try to close browser windows while waiting for pdfs to open (thinking it's crashed) and end up crashing IE. This might help!

A way to speed up opening Acrobat Reader is to move the plug-ins you don't need out of \Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Plug_ins. Create a directory to save them (in case you need them later) and move them to (for example) \Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Plug_ins_disabled.

You might find you need only these three: EWH32.api, printme.api, and search.api

Or another way to speed up the full version of Acrobat is to hold down the shift key when double-clicking on the Acrobat desktop icon, when you only want to view or read an existing PDF.

Removing unwanted plug-ins is exactly what this program does.

i've seen gtsukada's computer, he needs to get all that "queer eye for the straight guy"-related stuff if he REALLY wants to see a "speedup"

I was going to post this the other day but got sidetracked. Good little proggy... even makes the IE plugin faster which is the biggest deal to me.
