Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro

From just glancing over Acrobat 8 Pro, there are several ways to make a PDF from a file.

1. Create a PDF from a file - This converts it.
2. Open A File Then Save As Postscript - Next Use Distiller
3. Open A File Then - Print

Between these 3 choices does it really matter or is it simply 3 different way to skin a cat is all, in the end it all ends up being the same, and the same quality?

THANKS

I'm not an expert but if you're thinking about quality of the end-product I think they'll all be same no matter different method each PDF went through

Doesn't matter how you do it as long as the job gets done. I have Acrobat 7.x pro and it sucks for some reason.

I use it maybe once a month to create a new PDF ... but it seems that I am always reinstalling it. It will work fine for now, then next time I go to use it the program will crash and ask me if I want to do a "check & repair." That takes ten minutes to do, but then the program still crashes after it's done.

I uninstall, then reinstall ... and Im good until the next time.

Sounds like some sort of confict or something, I've never had a problem like that.

I always print to pdf. Works great, particularly if you don't need the document to have any active fields for inputing text etc.
