Adobe Acrobat 7

pontifex

I have a pdf file that was created from a scanned page. scanned from paper to pdf format.
I then added editable fields to the form.

the form has a specific person's email address and phone number on it. i need to change that. is there a way to do it in Acrobat or am I going to have to save the pdf file as a jpg, delete out the specific info in paint or something, save it as a pdf file again, add the new text in acrobat, and then re-do all the editable fields?

i mean, it seems so stupid and a waste of time to do it that way when you should just be able to go in an edit that text out of there in Acrobat.

help?

after a few hours of messign with it and trying other progs and different things, i used the pencil tool with white color to "erase" the existing text. I then used the typewriter tool, typed what i needed and then moved that box on top of the "erased" section.
