i have windows xp home w/ sp2 and suse linux 9.2 pro on my laptop. dell inspiron 600m

i'm trying to remove the bootloader from linux. ( uninstalling linux )

and i am using a windows xp pro cd. i have the dell windows xp home cd also.

i come to the recovery console and it asks for my administrator password. i tried typing in the usual password i had but i can't get it to let me in. anyone know any way to get the password back?

The default password is normally blank.

You could call Dell and see what their password is.

There are also a number of programs on the internet. Just google around for Windows XP Administrator password retrieval

thanks, got it fixed. ended up having to use this:
