Extremists may target private US planes: TSA
The Transportation Security Administration has warned aircraft owners and airport managers that Muslim extremists may be targeting private American jets and urged them to boost security.

"On April 13, 2006, a message posted in Arabic on an Internet forum explained how to identify private American jets and urged Muslims to destroy all such aircraft," the TSA said in an advisory issued on Thursday and obtained by Reuters on Friday.

The TSA quoted the Arabic message as saying: "We call upon all Muslims to follow and identify private civilian American aircrafts in all airports of the world."

"It is the duty of Muslims to destroy all types of private American aircraft that are of the types Gulfstream and Lear Jet and all small aircraft usually used by distinguished (people) and businessmen," it quoted the message as saying.

It said the message explained how to identify private U.S. jets and also provided the tail number of a private plane believed to be used by the CIA.

You really have to love the beauty of this administrations fear campaign. The "source" of the fear is a post on the Internet!
As if there aren't thousands of threats a day against the US on the internet.
Heck, I bet people "identify" targets to be attacked every day.

But now we are going to start seeing terror warnings. Why? Elections.

But of course. They've got to keep Americans scared sh!tless when 2008 rolls around and Bush decides to put forth a motion to repeal the 22nd Amendment, allowing more than 2 terms.

Where do you come up with the crap you spew? I didn't really believe terrorism to be a threat until we went into Iraq and pissed them off.

If you don't see the correlation between terror threats and election poll numbers you are either blind, stupid, or both.

Bush for Life: GOP introduces new bill to Congress

Republicans have officially started the the campaign to amend the Constitution by repealing the 22nd Amendment - the one that confines the President to two terms. If the Republicans hold their current strength, or increase it, in the 2006 Congressional elections, expect this measure to pass allowing Bush to remain President...

Never going to happen, would take 3/4s of the states to do such, and that just ain't gonna happen.

Sherman Adams quotes Dwight Eisenhower expressing in a press conference his strong opposition to term limits: "The United States ought to be able to choose for its President anybody it wants, regardless of the number of terms he has served." ("First Hand Report", 1961, p. 296) ("Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States: Dwight D. Eisenhower", 1956, p. 862) [1] Ronald Reagan publicly supported repealing the amendment. Bill Clinton has stated he feels the Twenty-second Amendement shouldn't be repealed but modified so that former presidents who have already served two terms can be allowed to run for the office again, after an interim period has passed. [2] After leaving office Clinton, Eisenhower, and Reagan were all affected by the 22nd Amendment, as they all served two terms and would have been strong candidates for reelection.

Frequent attempts have been made, in recent years one or more per session of Congress, to modify or repeal the 22nd Amendment; none has yet been successful

And they shouldn't be - but it doesn't stop them trying. And for the far right the current president is the best thing since sliced bread.

I hate it when my idle speculation starts to turn into reality.

Hopefully it won't be like when they tried to vote on Tom DeLay's replacement, with their infamous "voting irregularity" - when they wound up with more votes than voters. They'll do a vote on the 22nd Amendment and get votes from 63 states.

the exploitation of 9/11 by bush and the big oil conglomerates he represents may be seen in the history books as one of the biggest scams of the 21st century.

anyone like to start a pool on when the next anthrax attack (or a reasonable facimile) occurs? and yes, it may be preceeded by another spectacular suicidal attack by terrerests. of course, like the last anthrax attack, it will only be on a scale that kills a few precious lives, but will scare the rest of the citizens of the US into giving up their remaining rights as guaranteed by the constitution; all this in the name of unquenchable power and profit.
