Admin password on a dell laptop

I've got a dell latitude CPx that someone set the administrator password in the dell proprietary software. I have no way of finding out what it is, and I have tried the Latitude.exe executable to see if it would give me a password, but the string it gave me didn't work.

This particular laptop's service code ends in 595B, and I believe the copy of Latitude.exe I got only works on laptops with service codes ending in D-35.

There is another executable available that is supposed to work on the 595B machines, but it costs from $13-$19 on all the sites I found it on.

Another fix I found has something to do with using a paper clip to jump out the EEPROM chip in the machine to clear all the passwords. I found detailed instructions on how to do the same thing by soldering the two leads together, but I would rather not have to do any soldering on the mobo.

Also, since the instructions for the paper clip method are also not free, and I could not find any other info on other forums and google, does anyone have any other info before I try jumping out random prongs on the mobo?
