Adjusting the car seat

What's the best way to adjust your seat and steering wheel?

I've heard it's good to have the wheel low, and move the seat back so that most of your thigh rests on it while your feet can still comfortably control the pedals. I push the seat all the way back (long legs), and move the back a bit forward to bring my arms forward and keep them bent when my hand is on the top of the wheel.

Any other useful tips?

I lay the seat waaaaaaay back and ALWAYS lean waaaaaay toward the middle of the car while driving. It helps to complete the effect if my passenger will lean in so far that our heads touch in the center of the car.

I usually adjust everything so that my legs aren't pressing against anything (steering wheel included), so that I'm close enough to the wheel that my arms are comfortably bent, and the seat reclined so that my head's not against the headrest.

Depends on the car, though I'd recommend not moving the seat back so far that you can't press on the top of the steering wheel with your wrist while your shoulders are against the seat.

Steering wheel (airbag) should be centered towards your chest and be at least 12 inches away from your body. At least that is what I have read.

I laugh at people who lean their chairs way back thinking it's cool, but will sit up to make the turn at intersections because they can't reach the steering wheel or can't see the road.

This is so individualized that there is no one right answer. I personally am quite tall, and prefer to have the seat fairly reclined, and the front part of the seat base high and the rear portion low. I like the steering wheel as low as I can adjust it and still see the gauges.

I sit kind of close to the steering wheel. I'm kind of short and if I sit back too far I can't see very well.
