Adjusting multiplier outside bios

Is there a way to set the multiplier by connecting the bridges of the cpu?
I just want to know since I consider buying the ECS K7S5A-board (Sis735) where you can't adjust the multiplier.

This is the only article that I have seen that talks directly about modifying the speed of your CPU without going through the MB. Hope this helps.

Thanks, will study the articles closely to see if I'll be able to do what is mentioned (one thing is that you can do it, another thing is if I'll be able to make it work...)
