Is there any on screen tools or guides that I can use to set my horizontal/vertical size to match 4:3? I'm talking about how you can use a chart to calibrate color, is there one you can use for screen ratio?

get a ruler or tape measure. the width should be 1.33 times the height

Huh? Do you mean resize the screen geometry? The Ratio is just width/height so there is no one option called ratio. Or do you mean adjusting pincushion and trapezoid options?

fit it to the frame of the monitor. as a test you could always draw a true circle in your favorite graphics program and see if its not squished.

I know... but is there an option other than using tapemeasure to measure the proper height and width.

Guess not. :D
