adjustable beds

I'm helping my mom look at some adjustable beds for my 80 year old grandma. She has some pretty major health problems and has trouble sitting up/lying down etc, and an adjustable bed should hypothetically be more comfortable and convenient.

I haven't seen too much useful information. Do any of you have any experience/suggestions/recommendations?
 
If you have a senior center in your location, you might see if they have that kind of bed to loan you.

My little town has all kinds of equipment for the elderly, disabled and infirmed to loan (forever, if necessary).
