I am using static ips but when I use the alternate configuration in XP under the TCP/IP properties, the boot time takes a bunch of time. I beleive that the long boot up time has to do with the DHCP timeout during boot in XP Pro. I know I can set the general tab but I would like the machine to accept a DHCP assignment when it is on other networks.
How do I change the DHCP timeout limt?
