Which one is better? the adi uses a fd trinitron while the Samsung uses a diamontron.Am I correct by thinking that trinitron tubes is one notch better that the diamontron ones.If so how come the ADI hasn't gotten better reviews while the samsung even gained a cnet editors choice award. Please help me choose, Where I come from the samsung cost $100 more,Is it worth spending the extra or should I go with the adi.I'm in a bit of a rush since I've already sold my present monitor so I need to buy one right away.

Their is not really too much difference between the tubes. I think that the Diamondtron tubes may have a slight edge, but at the end of the day it really depends on the indivdual manufacters how they use this technology.

The ADI G910 is currently in the PC Pro "A-list" as their 19" Monitor best buy.

Personally I would go for the new Iiyama Vision Master Pro 451. It looks great and has a superb picture. Very clear with brillient sharpness and contast. Good power regulation too.

My choice Iiyama Vision Master Pro 451.:D

<<My choice Iiyama Vision Master Pro 451.>>

For virtually $150 more, you're getting the same thing as 900NF. Why even bother to throw away your money?

I have just checked the prices. From my local supplier in the UK, the Iiyama is actually £18 CHEAPER then the Samsung. If the prices were the same would you go for the Iiyama or the Samsung?

Quite a toss-up. I never noticed anyone talking about the ADI before but looking at the specs it looks pretty nice. A Sony Trinitron tube vs. Mitsubishi DiamondTron is again a toss-up. Some say the Sony tube is better while others say the DiamondTron is better. The ideal thing would be to have the two monitors side-by-side by more than likely a b&m store wouldn't carry both of those.

Even the specs are similar though the 900NF has a slight edge in max resolution: 1920x1440 for G910 and 2048x1536 (who uses those resolutions on a 19" anyway?).

Maybe it comes down to the name-brand. If you or others here recommend the samsung over it, maybe it's because samsung has a solid name in making monitors.

I own two ADI monitors including the G910 and I think they are both excellent monitors. When I upgraded to a 19 I bought into the Samsung hype but couldn't stand to look at it for more than 15 minutes w/o a headache(blurry edges). I sent it back and got the G910 and couldn't be happier with it.

I've tried four 19" flat screens FE950, AV 195TF, AS95F, Diamond Plus 91 ......I've found the issue not geometry or color, they are all compareable in those areas.

At least I didn't find that any one model was so much better that I had to have it....The thing that bothered be the most was focus......Some where off in the corners, some on the right edge, some along the bottom....The NF has focus and convergence controls that allowed me to get a great display....better than I had with any of the other models I tried....I'm very happy with it...

So bottomline guys If you have to pick between the two ,which one would you buy knowing that the samsungs cost $100 dollars more,Will I notice any performance gains with the samsung in case I forked out the extra or should I just stick with the adi and save the money for something else. Much as I like to get other brands besides the two they are the ones available where I come from thats within my budget. So it boils down to the adi g910 or the samsung 900nf.Pls vote!!!

I'm from the philippines,So the brands here are quite limited also i'm in a rush so I'm not considering buying online.here are the monitors that are readily available and there respective prices converted to us dollars

Samsung:
950P $460
900NF $500

Sony:
E400
G400 $760

ADI
G66 $400
G910 (FD Trinitron!) $420

AOC
19GLRS $300

NTC
2019 Ultraview $300

Sampo
KM-800S
KM-800Y
KM-800DT diamontron $360

I know the prices are ridiculously high, thats why the logical choices boils down to the adi and the samsung.the ntc,aoc are cheap but I heard from others that there quality suck .so pls help me choose

Everyone of them is overpriced except the ADI, I guess the choice is clear now.

I was under the impression that the 950P cost $460, here in the US its only like $320.

So lxi do you suggest I go with the adi.Actually I'b be willing to fork out the extra for the samsung if I'll notice any performance gain because I heard that a monitor is not a thing to skimp on but if it'll be the same picture quality wise., I'd rather save the 100 bucks.

You probably have to see for yourself to decide, I cant really decide for you because you may not like what I like.

The thing is they don't have it on display and even if they do unless i see it side by side I think with my untrained eyes i wont be able to tell the difference So I'd rather rely on a word of mouth basis. So Please vote !!

Alright then, if I was to pick one without seeing them, I'd pick the Samsung.
