btw CFP 3.1 is out Monday.

Oh what sharp eyes you have, I usually check the comodo v3 help forum daily but that announcement was on the news comodo forum section.

So I can see it makes some sense for Wigwam to wait to try V3.1. As for me, I am trying to find out if I will have to do a complete uninstall of the new version of cpf3 followed by a complete reinstall of cpf3.1 or if the incremental updater that comodo has can handle the upgrade without the hassle.

Will post back when I get an answer.

As promised, I am posting back because comodo 3.1 is now available in the past hour at the comodo website. Those having the previous latest version 3.0.15.277 can incrementally update without having to do a full uninstall of the previous version.

Its not clear yet in terms of all that is added, but at a minimum it adds CAVS 3 which is a passive malware scanning engine. At a minimum, that will prevent comodo. 3.1 from trusting any previously installed malware. And Melih, the comodo guru promises that CAVS 3 will be just the first in a series of 3.1.x version improvements to come in later updates.

And in late breaking news, the 3.1 designation is overhyped because the new version caries a designation of 3.0.16.295. With some users reporting the passive scanner found viruses on their systems that their Antivirus missed.

True - although it seems to be called version 3.0.16.
I am giving it a couple of days as the immediate adopters are posting all sorts of problems getting it installed.
