adelphia switched to comcast in my area...

With adelphia, I had the following 9 month deal:

Cable Internet
Digital Basic
VOD
DVR
HDTV
HBO
=$53/month for 9 months

3 Months into this deal, adelphia gets switched to comcast, and they are now charging me $74 a month.

Can they do this seeing as how I had no choice in the matter? Should I at least call and complain?

Adelphia filed for bankruptcy protection a few years ago, and Comcast agreed to take over and buy them out. If Comcast/Adelphia is the only cable provider in your area, then you'll continue to have to bend over to the man, and continue having no choice in the matter.

No, it was a 9 month promotional intro rate, of which I was only 3 months into.

yeah.. may as well since I have to set up my automatic billing again for about the third time.

Call, threaten to cancel, see if you can get a lower rate.
