I could not resist $15/mo offer from Verizon, so cancelled my cable modem service through Adelphia Powerlink that was costing me over $50/mo. I do not remember installing anything Adelphia related on my computer before, however, as soon as I try to access an internet address after installing and configuring for DSL, I get an error page with Adelphia logo on it.
The Adelphia page has input field for Powerlink account number and zip code. I was able to connect to Adelphia help line and chat with someone. However, I do not wish to chat with Adelphia service rep. I never allowed for any software installation or modification of my computer by adelphia and I'm boiling with anger that I gotta put up with this. Anyone know a simple trick to disable this meddling by Adelphia?
