Hey guys, long time reader first time poster.

I had a HD fail on me in my early model MacBook, but luckily I was just about to install leopard so I had recently backed up my information. Unfortunately I did not copy my Address Book data, but I do have an iPhone that was synced with it, and Mozy has a copy.

Long story short, I can't seem to update my new Address Book in Leopard with my full list of contacts. Syncing with the iPhone looks like I am going to erase everything on the phone, rather than add data to the mac. I restored my file from Mozy, but it looks like in Leopard the file extensions are different. All attempts to copy and paste the restored data in the new address book have failed.

I know it's a stupid question, but I have really put a lot of effort into it, and you guys are my last resort!

If the contacts are still in your iPhone, sign up for a trial Mobile Me account and have everything sync up through the 'cloud'

That sounds like a good idea, thanks! When you sign up for Mobile Me, can you chose where it looks for the information? I.E., Can I tell Mobile Me to use the contacts from my iPhone as the source to initially sync all other connected devices?

I believe so, its been a few months since I last did a big update but I think it asks before it tries to delete anything.
