I am having a problem that just started and I don't know how. Ok here it goes, anytime i type anything into the address bar with "http://" it does not find the site I get an address bar error message that says has been disallowed. But if I remove the "http://" it works fine.
example. http://www.yahoo.com does not work but www.yahoo.com in address bar works. does anyone know what this problem could be, please help.

Thanks.

why do you want to type in http:// anyways? Isn't it easier just to put the site in. I only type it in if i'm typig a url for a secure site and need to get the s in there. And are you using IE or Netscape?

If I click on the arrow down key to check out a previous url's, if it has the "http://",i would have to delete the "http://"before hitting go.
Anyways thanks for the help but the problem has been solved by reinstalling my browser (IE 5.5).
