Additional Windows Vista licenses $50 each?

Microsoft to promote online purchase and upgrade of Vista

Also, consumers will be able to go to the Windows Marketplace to license additional copies of Vista, intended for people who have a home business or a large family with several computers. Instead of purchasing multiple copies of the software, they can just add a license to the existing software for $50 each.

If this is true, then that's a nice start. IMO prices are still steep, but having a cheap "additional license" eases the burdon.

I wonder where they got this from? Windows Anytime Upgrade is well-documented, but $50 for an additional license? This is the first I've heard that one.

ONLY FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTHS.

That is a promotional price. Also, you have to buy ULTIMATE, and the $50 copies are home basic (might be home premium, cant remember).

I wonder how the EULAs on those $50 ones read... I'll bet it's closer to an OEM eula than a retail one. Also, unless I read it wrong, those $50 Home Premium are a full program rather than upgrade as they quote a $399 MSRP for them.
