Do I need to connect the molex next to the PCI-E slots?

Currently have this board with a G4400 @ 4.455Ghz, and a 7950 3GB card in the top PCI-E x16 slot.

I assume that the molex to to provide +12V power to both PCI-E x16 slots, when both are occupied. So I think I'm OK with not plugging it in with only one card, correct?

Edit: The reason that I don't currently have it plugged in, is my PSU only has a single molex chain, and it's currently plugged into the front case fan, and won't really reach to the mobo.

no, no you don't

well...

unless there is a gpu out there that needs it...

but even a dual, dual fury-x setup wouldn't even need it.

That's what I thought. Bitcoin friendly board :)

@VirtualLarry

No need unless you going to use PCI-E riser cables to connect more GPUs.

Thanks everybody! I figured it was for multiple GPUs, but I wasn't sure if it was necessary with just one.
