Additional 14in case fan decreases GTX260 intake?

Hello,

I have a Lian li v2110 full tower and a 12 in and 14 in fans in the front for additional intake cooling.

Since my system has rather high northbridge temps (rampage formula) I would like to add the 14 in (there is only one 12 in exhaust at the rear) exhaust cololer for hot air removal.

Question is: this exhaust fan will also be next to the GPU, so wouldn't an additional exhaust fan decrease the intake from the GPU GTX 260?

Thanks, Bram

Uh, wouldn't that be 120mm and 140mm? A 14 inch fan is pretty big.

To answer your question, if the additional exhaust fan causes a lower pressure (than you have now) inside the case. then it will hinder the GPU cooling. You really have to add up the CFMs of exhaust and intake. They should be about equal, or else the fans are just working against each other.

It would likely be more beneficial to have the 140mm blowing cool air down on the motherboard, than exhaust

Yes I did, sorry guys, this Belgian dude wanted to use english :)

If the 14 cm blows on the graphic card and mainboard, will the single exhaust fan in the tower (12 cm) will be enough because than i have 1 14 cm intake for the harddisk department and 1 front 12 cm intake and 1 side 14 cm intake on the side?
