yes, what you need to get is a Extended USB Module, Belkin makes those among other generic types out there.
Here is a couple of links for reference.
Extended USB Module Information
Belkin
I checked BesyBuy's website and they do carry that by Belkin, here's the Link
Good Luck.
You may need to enable USB in you BIOS....check your manual, also check for the correct pin layout on your board.

I have an ASUS P5A-B board with the following configuration for USB pins:

Pin 1: USB +5 Volt
Pin 2: USB Port 0-
Pin 3: USB POrt 0+
Pin 4: Gound

Pins 10-13 are for a second port.

I'm not sure what the pins stand for.

I have an extended USB port assembly that came with my Epox 8kHA+ mobo. Can I use it on this ASUS?

for kjacobs, looking at the menu of Asus P5A-B, there are no "2nd"USB, its the first and only one, right?
They might has a module connector for USB,Infrared, PS/2. But i guess it is not easy to find and costly.

Your layout is
pin
1_________2__________3__________ 4__________ 5 .......
usb +5v....... usb port 0-.....usb port 0+......ground......... (no connection)

10________11_________12_________13__________14
usb +5v....... usb port 1-.....usb port 1+......ground......... (no connection)

+5 ->red
- data ->white
+ data -> green
ground -> black

(no connection) -> left out or connected to shielding of the USB cable

So it is basically the same as K7S5A.

But i must give a WARNING here that the color of the wire meaning nothin as my exp. with my K7S5A teach me :( I wrongly ordered a 2X8 from www.mjpa.com $3.99 (should order the 1X4, what was i thinking....). And their wiring is totally reversed! (Red => ground, white =>+data,...), i ordered it with other things for a 12v/off/7v fanbus project, which turns out very well. :)

So the sure thing is use mutlimeter to ensure the USB connector (the one that connect to you USB mouse, scanner ) has the following, looking from outside toward it:

[ 1...2...3...4] <----- this is the metal inside the USB connector
_________ <---- this is the white separator

where
1 = ground, (or usually connected to color wire Black)
2 = + data, D+ (or usually connected to color wire green)
3 = - data, D- (or usually connected to color wire white)
4 = 5V (or usually connected to color wire red)

So if the one come with Epox 8kHA+ match it. you can.
i can not get the layout of the epox 8kha+. sorry can not tell you for sure... (what site it is epox.com? this site is inaccessible thro my co. internet, i try 2themax.com and they do not have menu)
