Adding RAM cooling to Sandy Bridge?

I have a Crucial Ballistix Ram cooler from my prior build. I have no reason to suspect my RAM has any temperature issues on my current build (specs in sig). My CPU temp is is ~34C so it's not high but I wonder if adding the RAM cooler would impact it in any way.

Thoughts?

Depends on the orientation of the cooler, but it would most likely offer minor benefit. IMO it is not worth the extra noise, especially since the ASRock Extreme4 has pretty good VRM cooling already. On other boards the VRMs would be more of an issue than the RAM with a non-stock CPU HSF since there is not much airflow over those with a cooler that doesn't blow towards the MB.

I am not sure at what frequency active RAM cooling becomes common, but it is at least 1800mhz+ range.
