Adding Printer to Both Networks Question (Windows 8)

I have a modem provided by my cable company that my printer is on. It was easy to add a printer to that network but I also have a router. How do I add my printer onto the other network, router? I'm on windows 8.

Edit:
I should also note that I can not access this router from my computer by the ip address. I think it might have something to do with my powerline adaptors.

Edit 2:
I found some instructions for expanding a network. I think these will do. They are called DHCP method I believe.

I agree with ch33zw1z, converge the networks. Except for "guest" wireless, there is nearly zero reason to have multiple networks at home.

The modem is a HitronTechnology model CGN. The router is mine in a different room I've had for about 2 years, a linksys. Thanks for the link. Will read over it to see if I can set this up.

Edit3:
I've managed to get it to work by unplugging and plugging in my modem but now I can't access the linksys router to add a password. How do i do that because it's only allowing me to access the modem.

Edit 4
Finally got it to work after plugging and unplugging the router multiple times into different slots.
