Question adding NVME to bios Intel DQ77MK

Hello,

Can anyone help me with this? I want to buy an add-on PCIe X4 NVME M2 card and boot my Windows 10 from it. I see so many different success and disaster stories that I am worried I cannot do it myself.
I have a copy of the original bios. Also, when I buy say a Gigabyte M2 NVME card, do I need a specific driver or file for that specific brand/type NVME to go into the bios or will adding NVME support simply allow every make/model?

There's a UEFI bootloader that allows you to boot off of an NVMe drive, using a USB flash drive, called "Clover".

There's also the "Win-RAID forums", with a "BIOS mod to add NVMe support". The owner of those forums, posts here too, he has a cow avatar I think.

Hi, I flashed this gigabyte BIOS Q77MD2H.F2 modded with adding NVME driver to BIOS chip W25Q64FVSIG ON dq77mk . Everything works fine accept each boot auto to bios , just press F10 then return.

Did you set the boot order properly?

because each reboot always display bios reset need setup. looks like EC memory chip does not recognize Gigabyte Bios. I still try to work out.

using a 16MB chip , still same.

bios boot order is set ok. after reboot , check bios time date and boot order still ok.

original bios chip 25Q64FVSIG . it is a little bit small for asus bios. now use 25Q128JVSG works . if someone can add items no problem. if can get rid of this picture , it will perfect
