I bought a new 512 of ECC Registered memory from Crucial to go with the 256 ECC Registered I already have
and as long as I only have one in everything runs fine. If I place both sticks in i lose my video card and have
delete it out of device manager and reboot w/o the card in then reboot again and re-install the drivers.

Any ideas????

Here is what I have: Giga-byte 7dxr, 512 or 256 (both of which are supposed to be registered), Gainward
geforce gold sample (using manufacture drivers), Soundblaster Audigy, Win 98 SE

And yes I know about the 7dxr and the registered memory this is why both are ... could one of them not be
registered or ....??????????

Ideas

With windows 9X you might find that there is a limitation to a maximum of 512mb of ram memory. Do a search on MS knowledgebase and see if you can find anything.

Good Luck
