Adding infrared to notebook

Is there any way to add infrared capabilities to a notebook? I'm thinking of using a notebook as an HTPC to capture video and act as a DVR. I have an IR remote from a Windows media PC, but the notebook doesn't have an IR port. Is there an add on device I can use? Bluetooth remote?

Any MCE USB receiver... don't you have the one from the PC or is it in use or built-in? See eBay for many OEM options. Or, aftermarket ones are available particularly in smaller USB stick form rather than cabled pod. See Newegg Rosewill brand amongst others.
