Adding DDR 800 Memory..

I have a Gigabyte P35-DS3R MB, Quad 2.4 CPU, and 4-1GB Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) memory modules. I have the voltage down around 1.9v and the timing is 4-4-4-12. I have oc the cpu to 3.2 mhz.

When I built the system, I was running XP 32 bit. Now I have upgraded to Win 7 64 bit and use Photoshop CS4 64 bit quite a bit. I want to go up to 8 GB of memory. What I am not sure about is how important the timing is? Is it important to stay with the 4-4-4-12 timing ? Plus searching around, it appears that going to 4-2GB sticks and trying to keep the 4-4-4-12 timing creates problems. I would appreciate any feedback or thoughts.

At least from a gaming standpoint, I don't think I've ever noticed a difference between cas4 timings and cas5 timings at DDR2-800.
