the level is looking low on the reserve tank, Its not quiet at the "Min" marking but its about 1/4 away.

Do I just open the cap and add any coolant in? Or do I need to go to nissan and buy the same coolant that's in there?

How to I put some in, I have to get the engine hot or keep it cold?

I am not sure if I am leaking any, but if I am I don't want it to run out when I am on my way to school and over heat.

It Might be the coolant bypass mode I installed that might be leaking though it should be fine. I need to check that out.

Keep it cold

Adding cold liquid to a hot engine block will cause it to crack!

^ so I just open the cap and put in some 100% coolant or should I mix it with 50% distilled water?

I read I might need to bleed the system after?

Ok so Just buy some OEM Nissan Coolant, Get some Distilled water, mix it 50/50 then just fill up the reservoir up to full while the car is cool?

I think thats it :O

Dude, don't even buy coolant. Just buy distilled water and add it.

In Miami you can probably run much less than 50% antifreeze. You won't need to bleed anything since you're just adding water to the overflow tank.

If it's not much distilled water would be ok. Or you can get the 50/50 pre-mixed stuff from an auto store but it seems expensive to me. Make sure it says it's good for any make vehicle and can mix with any color.

The problem here obviously is that your reservoir is down near min. How long has it taken to get there? You have a leak somewhere in the system. Perhaps not a bad one, but somewhere.

If you want, add a little distilled water...if it's above the min line when cold, it'll likely be around the middle when it's hot. Check for leaks, especially if you messed with the cooling system before.

hmm, so actually the level went back up to normal, my car sat for a week, so before I started it up I checked the fluid levels.

Looks OK.. On my Maxima the coolant expansion tank's max level is still well below half the capacity of the bottle itself. I'd say all is normal.
