Right now I have 2 WD Raptors in Raid0 (2 36gigs). Im thinking of adding another one, but on my motherboard I only have 2 SATA ports. Is it possibe to add another one or not?

thanks

ok, now i have 2 36gig raptors. someone said if i got a 74 gig one, it would only use 36 of it, bc it usues the max of the the smallest, or soemthign like that.

is that true?

yes, that is true. a raid only uses the most of the smallest drive. you can use a 72 and a 36 but it will not be pretty as they have different access times, etc. a raid always requires the same identical drive. same brand and model number aren't a bad idea either.

i like the spliiter idea. maybe the 72 on the splitter and the 36 direct to the board.
