Adding an SSD to a laptop

I'm going to get the MSI GT60 1920x1080 version pretty soon. It has a 1 TB HDD at 7200 RPM plus a 120 gb SSD. I'm thinking of adding another SSD. Does this mean I have to run them in RAID 0? Are there any performance degradations due to this?

You do not need to run them in RAID.
You will need to make sure that there's room for it, or are you planning on replacing the HDD?

I know of no requirement to run RAID anything in a laptop with two SSDs.
