adding a HD to my tivo? Hughes HDVR-2

I have been doing alot of reading on this but the only thing I can seem to find is that I can.

Nothing telling me what to do🙁

It would seem that my tivo is capible of using two harddrives meaning I could veryeaslily add a second (160GB perhaps?) and add a ton of recording capacity.

How dificult is this.

I build my own comps and am an electronics tech in my job (medical equiptment). so unless there is some silly software that I would need to down load or something I sould beable to do it.

I am not looking to hack this so I can down load or extract the stuff off of it or anything and I am also interested in the legality of even adding a hard drive.

It took me 59 minutes exactly from opening the case to closing the case to upgrade my HDVR-2 a few weeks ago, and it only took that long because I added & replaced two fans. It's an extremely easy upgrade - just remember you need to pick up a two hard drive bracket from Weaknees or 9thTee. You'll also need an IDE cable and a power Y-splitter, if you don't have those already.

It was a brand new boxed Maxtor drive that I had. If you buy an already prepared drive you'll pay at least 2x the retail price - the "blessing" process for the drive takes a few seconds only. Hardly worth it.
