I have 2 hard drives (320gb and 150gb) running together as a spanned volume. My question is, I wanted to to know if i can add another disk (640gb) to the existing spanned volume without losing any data on the 470gb dynamic disk?

shouldn't be an issue. The utility in Windows is called "Disk Management" and is as simple as right clicking on the current drive and clicking "Expand" or whatever it says. since you're not raid-ing, you should be fine.
