Adding 3rd Hard Drive

I've got a quick question. I've got a Gigabyte K8NSP motherboard with 4 IDE channels. 2 of these may be used for RAID, but I don't plan on using RAID. I currently have 2 WD 80GB on the primatry IDE, and 2 optical drives on the secondary. I want to add a 250GB to my system without losing any of my other drives (if possible). When I plugged in the 250 GB, it wasn't recoginized in the BIOS or within Windows XP Pro. It didn't show up under disk management either.
I assume I can add the drive on the 3rd or 4th IDE channel, but I'm not sure how to configure it. Can anyone help?

Thanks!
